For nearly four years, I was fortunate to conduct research and write various content types for Software Advice, a Gartner Inc. business.
My core competence at Software Advice was creating compelling content for small business owners. My writing provided research-backed advice, analysis, and best practices for business software selection, adoption, and usage.

All of my content was created and measured against key performance indicators. Each piece I created balanced actionable and engaging recommendations with specific strategic SEO goals. Through keyword targeting and tactical link-building campaigns, my content enabled us to push our conversion pages up Google SERPs.
To stay organized and ensure each piece hits its targeted KPIs, I set quarterly content outlines and detailed monthly content plans. These exercises lay the groundwork for keyword research, source outreach, and surveying and information gathering.
These efforts boost the quality of my content. It’s led to my research being cited in notable publications like The New York Times, Forbes, CNN, and TIME Magazine. I’ve also been featured on numerous market/industry-specific blogs such as Groupon’s merchant blog and Yelp’s business center blog.
I’m deeply passionate about writing; be it about small businesses, new technologies, navigating our modern digitalization, or any topic with questions worth researching and answering. And Software Advice was a welcome opportunity to exercise these passions and deepen my skillset.
